When I asked if there were strollers not made of polyester, I was given strange looks. It was not at all the experience I had hoped for. After a long search, I discovered the Naturkind brand. The beautiful strollers from the family business Naturkind are among the most sustainable and ecologically responsible strollers available. Naturkind is the only GOTS certified manufacturer of strollers, how cool is that?! Only high-quality materials (mostly natural) are used, which are safe for babies. The strollers have an aluminum frame (instead of plastic) and a cork-covered handlebar. Light wood is used to reinforce the back and seat, and the bassinet comes with a coconut-latex mattress. The upholstery of the strollers is made of organic cotton and organic virgin wool is used for the lining. There is also the option to order the stroller in a vegan version (one color per model is available in a vegan version).

Bassinet or carrycot?

The stroller with a seat (the basic model) is suitable from the moment a child can sit independently (usually between 6 and 9 months). Before that, you need a bassinet or a carrycot in which your little one can lie and be transported safely and comfortably. You click the bassinet into the stroller's frame (instead of the seat), whereas you slide the carrycot into the seat of the basic model. The bassinet is spacious and sturdy; the carrycot is more compact and much lighter, making it easier to remove (and also usable separately). The carrycot can also be converted into a footmuff later on.
