Klean Kanteen is a close-knit family business from California, and pioneers in the design and production of sustainable canteens. It's hard to imagine now, but in the early 2000s, you couldn't buy a reusable stainless steel water bottle. Plastic was pretty much the only option. When Klean Kanteen sold the first BPA-free stainless steel bottles in 2004, they hoped a few people would use them. Today, you can find reusable water bottles and coffee mugs everywhere.
