WHAT IS AMBER?
Baltic amber is fossilized resin, originating from coniferous trees in the Scandinavian region, approximately 44 million years old. Amber is, contrary to what the name suggests, fossilized resin and not a stone. It is light, not cold, and feels pleasant on the skin.
WHAT SIZE DO I NEED?
Up to the age of three, you can easily choose the baby necklace with a length of 32cm. Is your child older? Then go for the amber children's necklace of 38cm. However, the length remains a personal choice as it is also a matter of taste. To see which length you like, you can cut a string to the desired length and try it on. Note: by wearing amber jewelry, the knots between the beads may tighten slightly, causing the necklace or bracelet to become slightly larger over time.
HANDMADE
The amber necklaces are handmade in Lithuania. They are designed to break for safety if too much pressure is applied. Also, each bead is individually knotted, which prevents beads from coming loose during a break, which your child could swallow. Super nice! The amber necklace closes easily with a twist clasp.
