ABOUT SAINT MARTIN AND THE LITTLE BEAR
Every year on November 11th, the Saint Martin play is performed in the city. Marieke and her teddy bear stand there with their lanterns and sing along with the other children. They watch as the good Saint Martin shares his cloak with a half-frozen man.
Suddenly, a little boy starts to cry. He has lost his lantern. Then Saint Martin looks meaningfully at the little teddy bear. The bear understands the message and gives his lantern to the boy. Fortunately, Marieke still has her little lantern and she shares it with her teddy bear. Includes the Saint Martin song and musical notation.
This atmospheric picture book is based on the original story of Saint Martin, which focuses on the importance of sharing and generosity.
