In Jef Aerts' Roversjong (Young Rover), Vera the hen escapes the fox's raid because she is brooding under a berry bush. Near the barn, she finds a terrified fox cub left alone after the hunt. Vera feels pity for the fox cub and unhesitatingly takes him under her wing. But are the other chickens happy about that?
