Handmade OK rattles. Jing-a-ling, these beautiful rattles all have a unique sound. This is due to their different sizes and the fine material: wood!
The use of different types of wood makes each rattle special. Each rattle is made from a single piece of wood, with each piece varying in size and color. It's always a surprise which one you'll ultimately receive. The rattles are made from recycled local wood that is available at the time. Each rattle is finished with safflower oil.
The story of the rattle
More than 3000(!) years ago, woodturning was practiced in Mesopotamia (now Iraq). A woodturner could turn a small ring from wood. This ring could not come off the piece of wood and was already used as a rattle in the Middle Ages, as a toy to keep the baby entertained.
Rattles today
Rattles have undergone significant development and are now an educational toy. Modern rattles should invite our little ones' hands to grasp them. And when your little one grasps it, it becomes clear whether they are watching, listening, feeling, or sucking. This way, you can discover whether your little one is visually, audibly, or haptically oriented!
