WHAT IS AMBER?
Baltic amber is fossilized resin, originating from coniferous trees in the Scandinavian region, approximately 44 million years old. So, contrary to what the name suggests, amber is fossilized resin and not a stone. It is light and not cold and feels pleasant on the skin.
WHAT SIZE DO I NEED?
There are three sizes of amber bracelets for children: Newborn 12cm (only in cognac color), baby 14cm, and child 16.5cm. Choose the newborn bracelet (12cm) for the smallest ones. The baby bracelet (14cm) generally fits up to 3 years old, but every arm is different, and measuring is key. To check which length fits best, you can cut a string to the desired length and try it on your child. The children's bracelet fits both small and large; with my slender wrist, it even fits me as a mom! But of course, we also have our own collection for women. Note: by wearing the amber jewelry, the knots between the beads can become a little tighter, causing the necklace or bracelet to become slightly larger over time. The dimensions are approximate and may vary by a few millimeters.
HANDMADE
The amber bracelets are handmade in Lithuania. They are designed to break for safety if too much pressure is applied. Furthermore, each stone is individually knotted, which prevents stones from coming loose if the bracelet breaks, which your child could swallow. Super nice! The amber bracelet easily closes with a twist clasp.
SAFETY
General safety regulation: "Children under three years of age should not wear jewelry unsupervised by adults. Because it contains small parts." This also applies to wearing amber bracelets.
